Ocularis has developed a unique family of new products to improve contact lens vision, comfort and performance. Existing contact lens solutions are aqueous-based, hydrophilic solutions which provide only brief relief to the chronic discomfort experienced by millions of contact lens wearers. VisiGel™ contact lens conditioner, a non-aqueous, hydrophobic gel, has been developed to provide lasting, day long comfort to and improve the reading vision of contact lens wearers. Daily application of VisiGel contact lens conditioner provides a thin film to both surfaces of a soft contact lens and confers the following features and benefits:

1. Seals water in the lens, reduces evaporation and pervaporation, lessens dryness, and preserves lens shape and enhances visual performance.
2. Permits oxygen transfer through the film and a more fully hydrated lens for better oxygen exchange at the cornea.
3. Reduces build-up of proteins, lipids, and mucin on the lens surface for many hours.
4. Provides a cushion reducing epithelial contact with lens, reducing abrasions.
5. Allows easy removal of the lens.
6. Extends the useful life of soft contact lenses.
7. Improves reading vision of those suffering from presbyopia, without affecting distance vision.

Ocularis has completed several controlled, human clinical studies of VisiGel contact lens conditioner in contact lens wearers with chronic discomfort, and has demonstrated the product is well tolerated, improves comfort and improves reading vision.
